Sending an Email Message Marked as “Important”

If you want your email message to be marked as urgent, you can click the red exclamation mark icon when you are composing your message. The blue down-arrow would mark your message as low priority.

 

When you send your message to someone, it will appear with the red exclamation mark in that person’s in-box (if they are using Microsoft Outlook).

 

 

 

Cropping Pictures in PowerPoint or Word

A student recently showed me that our version of PowerPoint and Word have the ability to crop photos.

  1. Insert the photo or graphic into your document
  2. Click on the photo so that it is “selected”
  3. Click on the cropping tool on the picture toolbar – as shown by red arrow in images below

                (If the picture toolbar is not visible, click on View… Toolbars… Picture)

  1. Now your photo should have slider-handles on the corners and the middle of each side. Click & drag these slider-handles to crop the photo.
