RELEVANCE
Keep your questions and comments relevant to the focus of the discussion board.
PRIVACY
Do not copy or send any of the messages somewhere else without permission.
JOKES
Be careful when using humor. Without face to face communications your joke might be taken wrong.
SUBJECT LINE
Be sure to change the subject so that it indicates the topic.
TRIMMING
When quoting another person, edit out whatever isn't necessary. This saves people time.
ME TOOS and THANK YOUS
Don't send "Me Too!", "Thank You", etc. messages to the group! Send those out to the individuals' email address directly.
WELCOMING
When people join an Email group, it is great that members want to welcome these people into the group and make them feel at home. Doing this helps to stimulate conversation.
