Student Portfolio Assignment

For this chapter's assignment, you will be creating a stand-alone slide show in PowerPoint that will tell a little about yourself.

All of the students' slide shows will be combined into one document that will be put on a looping display in the foyer.

You will "multi-task" to create your slide show by copying and pasting items from Excel, Word, Outlook, TimeLiner, & Inspiration into your slide show.

The required slides for your PowerPoint are:

  1. Your picture and name (we will take digital pictures the first day of class), and recorded greeting (5 seconds max).
  2. A graph that you create in Excel. The graph should show your level of comfort with the programs we use at Norwood (a template will be provided).
  3. The contents of a Word document (copied & pasted) from something you wrote last year.
  4. Any other examples of your school work from previous years (optional).
  5. An email (copied & pasted) from a parent or teacher that says something nice about you.
  6. A timeline created in TimeLiner that shows some things you've done in various years.
  7. A concept map created in Inspiration that organizes information about a particular interest or hobby of yours.
