Changing Your Password

1. You must first log on to the network at school as yourself, and let the computer load up.

2. Once your desktop screen comes up, hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the Windows Security Screen (see below)

3. Click on the Change Password button (in the lower left corner).

4. Enter your old password then your new password twice as indicated. Then click ok. [Your password must contain all three of the following: letters, numbers, punctuation. It must be at least 6 characters long. It must be new- it can't use words you've used before.]

5. When you're finished, you can click Cancel to get out of the Windows Security Screen.

 

Consider anagrams for passwords. "Lmn2tmotm." for example is not easily guessable, but it's easy to remember if your a fan of Shakespeare's sonnet that begins, "Let me not to the marriage of true minds."
