Processing Photos for the Web

1. Right-click on file of picture

select “open-with”

choose Adobe PhotoShop Elements

2. To rotate (if necessary) go to menu: Image... Rotate

3. To crop, select cropping tool and create your cropping rectangle. Double-click inside of rectangle to execute crop or press ”Escape" on keyboard to get out of cropping if you don't want to crop

4. To change size, go to menu: Image Size, Resize. In Width or Height box, enter 350 for the # of pixels  (square photo = 300). Click OK

5. To adjust lighting, use the keyboard shortcut “Control L” to get to the Levels box

6. To Save,

File... Save for Web

set format to JPEG High

click ok, then it asks you where to Save to.

Choose "Pix5 on Webserver

click save.

then close the photo and do not save changes (to original photo).
