Burning files to a CD

To burn some files to a CD:

1. Get a blank CD (from a store, or from Tech office)

2. Insert this CD into any computer that says "Rewritable" on the face of the computer's CD drawer. Almost all of our computers at Norwood have this capability.

3. After a few moments, a window should pop up, asking whether you would like to open a "writable CD folder"... click "Yes."

If this pop-up window doesn't appear, go to "My Computer --> CD drive" to get the window below to open.

4. Drag (or copy/paste) into this window all of the various files or folders you want to burn.

5. Then, on the left side of the window at the top, click "Write these files to CD."

6. The burning wizard opens and gives you the opportunity to name the CD (the default name is the date.) Click Next to get through the buring wizard.

7. When finished, click "No" when asked if you "want to burn these files to another CD"

8. Eject the CD and use it in any computer.

8. You can burn more files to the same CD at a later time, by repeating these steps.
