Built-In Software HelpPlease remember that every program has its own built-in help system, accessed from the menu item "Help" which may answer your questions or provide you with a tutorial and online manual.
Remember that if your software is having a problem, one of the first things to try is re-starting the computer. This will fix many common glitches. If the program is not responding, try clicking the red "X" to close the program. You might have to "End Task" if it is not responding. If you press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, it brings up the Windows Security screen... then choose "Task Manager." Under the applications tab, click on the program that is not responding, then click the button on the bottom that says "End Task" and say Ok to the warning. If the computer is totally not responding, and won't shut down from the Start menu, you have to force it to turn off by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds. Then turn it back on. Also try asking a classmate or colleague for help -- they may have had a similar problem in the past, and know how to fix it.
