How to check your Internet browser HISTORY
America Online users, please click here for a page specific to AOL.
Internet Explorer Users:
To check the sites visited most recently, click on the drop-down arrow located to the right of the web site address.
Internet Explorer History: You can view the most recent Internet sites visited on your home computer by clicking the “History” button on your Internet browser.
Note that it is possible to delete a computer’s History, by going to
Tools --> Internet Options --> Clear History (highlighted in yellow below)
If you find that there is nothing in the History, and you know your child has been on the Internet, you may want to have a discussion with your child and instruct him or her not to delete the History.
Temporary Internet Files: In addition to History, you can also view Temporary Internet Files and Cookies by going on the menu to
Tools --> Internet Options --> Settings,
and then "View Files"
The resulting list of files will give you a sense of what web sites have been accessed, because the web site names are included in the file names.
